Reasons Thomas Tuchel And Jurgen Klopp Are Better Managers Than Pep Guardiola

Read Time:2 Minute, 38 Second

The Premier League currently is packed with a lot of elite managers who are well experienced in football. With the arrival of Antonio Conte and Ralf Rangnick, the Premier League has become tougher.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has been dominating the Premier League for almost a decade. They have won back-to-back EPL trophies, and are looking ready to add another one to their cabinet this season.

Despite having elite managers in the Premier League it seems Pep Guardiola has an advantage the others do not. Manchester City’s spending power allows Pep to sign the best player available, which he uses to strengthen his squad.

Manchester City have a very good squad depth, and both their team A & B players have a lot of talent in the squad. It sounds like an unfair advantage, but that is how it has been and Pep makes good use of it.

It is true that the money and quality players can take you so far. Pep Guardiola is actually a great manager with good tactics and knowledge of football. If money was everything a football club needs, then Paris Saint-Germain would not be having problems.

Paris Saint-Germain signed Mauricio Pochettino to replace Thomas Tuchel. While one has been impressive so far, the other one is still struggling despite having to manage a lot of football superstars.

Pochettino’s time at Paris Saint-Germain may be cut short if he does not win the Champions League trophy this season. He has a lot of quality players, but is finding it difficult to be consistent with the results.

Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp are great managers. Thomas Tuchel came to Chelsea when the club was 9th on the Premier League table, and went ahead to finish in the top four. He also won Chelsea their second Champions League in the club’s history.

Tuchel won the Champions League trophy without having to sign any player. He made use of the players available, and turned average players into elite footballers. If he had Manchester City’s spending power, perhaps he could be doing a better job than Guardiola.

Jurgen Klopp has achieved so much success with Liverpool. Having Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the squad makes it a problem for opposition defenders. Klopp also knows how to make good use of his key players and good tactics.

Despite having the ability to sign any player, Pep Guardiola is still finding it difficult to win the Champions League with Manchester City. They came so close to lifting the trophy last season, but Chelsea snatched the win from their hands to be crowned Champions of Europe.

Pep Guardiola is still a great manager with a lot of success, but the money factor is what has put him in that position. Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp can also sign elite players, but they have a tighter budget than Manchester City.

Basically, Tuchel and Klopp are better managers because they are still delivering results without have a squad worth over a billion euros. If you remove the money factor from Pep Guardiola, then there is a high chance he would struggle with providing consistent results.
