United are preparing to use Edinson Cavani as a makeweight to land one of their targets – according to reports.
The 34-year-old Uruguay frontman signed a contract extension at Old Trafford this summer, but has been made to play second fiddle to five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo ever since his grand return from Juventus.
That’s despite the duo linking-up with conviction in tandem against Tottenham.
According to The Mirror, those figures responsible for transfers at the Premier League giants are preparing to swoop for highly-rated Sevilla defender Jules Kounde. The same report claims the Spanish club are keen on Cavani and they would be tempted to listen to offers that feature him as part of the deal.
