FOOTBALL: OLE HOLDS A CLEAR THE AIR MEETING WITH THE TEAM.

In a ‘clear the air’ meeting held yesterday at Carrington Training Grounds, it is believed that the following is what was being discussed as all players wanted to be satisfied.
1. Team selection criteria.
Senior players wanted to know the criteria used by Ole to select players for every game. This came in just nine weekends after the pre season meeting where Ole promised to give players a chance to play after being impressive in training. Those players demanded to know why Donny,Jesse and Matic are not given play time yet they are exemplary good in training. They also wanted to know why Ole decided to settle for unfit Maguire when Baily was there with a good psych after representing his national team.

2. Captaincy.
Players also wanted to know the criteria that was used to give Maguire the captaincy band just some days after completing his transfer move from Leiceater City.

3. Ronaldo -Greenwood partnership.
Senior players insisted on being told the reasons why Ole is just maintaining the Ronaldo – Greenwood partnership that is not working considering that Greenwood has decided to play his own football and not team work again. The asked him to change the partnership to something that will work out.

4. Formation
“Why are you just concentrating on a 4-2-3-1 formation when we are here to play several formations then we settle on a productive one?” That was the question that one of the senior players asked. He even gave out the formation of 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 diamond.

Should we expect a new formation over the weekend against Tottenham? Let’s wait and see.

It’s now upon Ole to make sure that he satisfies all the players. They told him plainly that they believe in his personal player management but they don’t believe in his tactics.
